Ex-Steelers First-Round Draft Pick Dead at 69
Greg Hawthorne, a running back drafted by Pittsburgh in 1979, has died at 69. The Baylor product spent five of his nine NFL seasons with the Steelers, appearing in two Super Bowls during his career. His family announced his passing but did not disclose the cause of death.
